Denisha Merriweather

A family advocate for Step Up For Students, Denisha Merriweather knows firsthand how badly many low-income students need school choice. Growing up in inner-city Jacksonville, Florida, Denisha was failing out of public school when a school voucher program gave her a second chance. She graduated an excellent private school, and then went on to receive her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Today, she is a vocal advocate for school choice.
